Rodolfo Oviedo Vega Born in San Salvador, Rodolfo began his studies in the capital of El Salvador at an early age. Rodolfo is one of those great travelers who possesses wonderful stories, having toured all over Central America; from El Salvador to Chile through the San Blas archipelago. Rodolfo has lived in Kerala, India and the Himalayas. Currently, he resides in Paris. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe and exhibited in Paris, Madrid, Tallinn and many more places. His canvases embody the memories of his journeys. His paintings are often better described as mixed-media collages. In addition to paint Rodolfo uses varying materials, including sand, coconut bark, banana leaves and red wine. His work is very much focused on shape and design. He is a talented image-maker, creating figures that defy our notion of what a painting should look like. His innovative work challenges our perspective on what a painting is, and what it could be.
His work are bought by an impressive list of art collectors world wide. Here an overview of the paintings that can be seen and more information about Rodolfo.
